Lysiloma spp   Color: Lustrous brown with a coppery or purplish tinge, sometimes with faint stripes.   Tree: Short-trunked with a diameter of 24-36 inches and often clear of branches up to 25 feet.   Wood Description: Medium textured with excellent polishing characteristics; planed, cut, turned, or sanded surfaces are smooth and clean.   Typical Uses: Interior trim, furniture, veneer, construction, tool handles, and cabinetry.   Growth Region: Mexico, Belize and other Central American regions
