We're Just People Who Think Woodworking Is Fun
. . . And We Sell Hardwoods, Tools & Supplies

Back in 1978 my dad started Woodworkers Source because he had a really lousy experience trying to buy some wood.

All he wanted was a couple of boards for his first jewelry box project - but the local hardwood dealer literally laughed at him because he didn't understand the basics.

Thinking there had to be other folks like himself who wanted to buy small amounts of wood with good ol' fashioned friendly service, my dad opened up his own retail lumber shop.

40 years later, we're still here. If you don't know the basics of woodworking, we won't laugh.

We'll help you out.

Woodworkers Source is the Southwest Division of MacBeath Hardwood

Keith & Betty Stephens founded Woodworkers Source in 1978 with a hardwood lumber franchise in Tucson, Arizona. Over the course of 40 exciting years, they grew the business into their own independent chain of 3 retail hardwood lumber stores with an ecommerce division.

On October 1, 2018 they sold to MacBeath Hardwood Company, another family-owned hardwood business.

Woodworkers Source continues on with the same name, same people, same standards of operation.
