    How Do You Want It?
    Why Choose Poplar?

Budget-friendly poplar beats the pants off of pine. It's soft but dense so it's delightfully easy to shape and machine. The tight grain makes the perfect choice for stain or paint, but poplar works fine with a clear finish, too.

Get ready to work with the finest wood squares you've ever seen, they're ready to be turned into whatever you can imagine, such as furniture parts, table legs, small accessories, handles, artwork and other fine woodworking projects.

Better wood to work with than anticipated.

I am turning Chess sets for each of my 6 kids. I want each set to be unique, same as each kid is. When I turned the first piece I thought the wood was too soft for good results, but boy was I wrong. the wood clean up great and is a dream to work with.

Like Having My Own Personal Millworks

Been coming to Woodworkerssource for many years. I know it's costly to bundle (neatly) hardwoods and plywood (cut to size), not to mention shipping costs. I'll keep coming back, though, because these folk are the BEST.

    Furniture squares

Arrive on time and well packed. Three of the squares were the specified 30 inches and the fourth was 30 3/8 inches. Not a problem. Will definitely buy again.

    Good quality, beautiful grain.

Wood is true to size (+1/16") and straight. Very very few defects in the large amount of wood purchased.
