I knew something was up when the delivery truck operator called me and said he was bringing help. I only placed a small order but 4 trucks showed up,. All the guys jumped out yelling and cheering about this awesome order form Woodworkers Source. Wow what beautiful wood they were all cheering as I opened the boxes. They were all wishing they had my job in plaining down and building awesome projects with this beautiful black walnut. They broke out donuts and coffee as I checked over my shipment. Before you know it all the neighbors were here commenting about the beautiful wood and asking me to build them all these awesome projects. The local police showed up and broke up the crowd, thank goodness because I could not wait to start my projects. I think next time I will request my shipment be shipped in undisclosed boxes.

The piece of “art" (wood) I received was nothing short of spectacular. I've always been a fan of beautiful natural wood but this was on another level. I'm not sure my shelf project will do this beautiful piece of wood justice. Next up is a black walnut/Maple Chess board project with my son. Truly beautiful wood products here!!

Ordered a piece of black walnut to make some sculpture pedestals, ordered more than I need and now I am trying to think of projects to use the rest. Ideas welcome. I have no power tools so don't be too demanding.

I've been looking for a place to find wood dimensions that I choose, not what is on the shelf. The pricing is fair, even with shipping and I love that they run sale's all the time. What a great company. My wood arrived well packaged, and with great grain distribution.

GOOD LUMBER--NICELY PACKAGED

I ordered premium black walnut. While the boards were nice, one of them had a fairly large knot in the center and prominent snipe -- not what I expected for "premium" boards. I will be able to use the wood, but I expected somewhat better quality. Maybe I expected too much. Service and prices, however, continue to be very good and I actually received MORE than I expected. Very happy about that.

This was my 1st order which also included Purple Heart. Both the Black Walnut and the Purple Heart were delivered blemish free and undamaged, neither too dry nor too much moisture. It was a pleasure and I will order more products in the future. Based on my first order, I would recommend Woodworkers Source, especially for exotic woods.

First time order wood online, other than turning blanks. This walnut was better than I expected. I'm really happy with it.

The walnut was nicely figured, making it very suitable for a book ended cabinet door. It arrived promptly and was well protected in shipment with an outer layer of cardboard and an inner layer of plastic.

Almost no sapwood, some light figuring, no knots. I was a little nervous ordering wood sight unseen, but they picked a board as good as if I'd done it myself. Finished up as beautifully as I could've hoped.

I cannot source this thickness of walnut or cherry locally, and while pricing on the internet, I found your site. The price and delivery time was more than reasonable, compared to others. What you sent me has an excellent color and grain, and is nicely surfaced. I would highly recommend your company and plan to shop with you in the future.

This was my first lumber purchase online. I was hesitant, but I've always had great experiences ordering Baltic Birch plywood from Woodworkers resources.com I was not disappointed! It arrived on time and was a great board. It was 8 ft. Long with minimal sap wood. I had one edge straight line cut, with the width varying from 7 to 8 inches wide. I was very pleased as it exceeded all my expectations. I live in central Florida and there are no lumber yards that carry hardwoods within 25 mi. So it's exciting to have a reliable source so dependable!

Beautiful wood (hence 2*, not 1*), but I found the S2S claim to be very misleading. The two largest boards in my order have significant cupping - I'd say ~10"x 8" ovals, maybe 1/8" deep. So those will have to be planed much further (and given my project that'll then have to be done to every board whether it needs it or not). When I called to ask whether further planing would be needed I was advised that S2S boards that WWS stocks only need finish sanding. I guess I was told wrong. I went with WWS specifically because I don't own a surface planer, and will need to figure out a workaround now. Also, and less significant, a fair number of dents and chips on the finished edges (appears to be shipping damage), so further jointing needed too. Another piece of equipment I don't own.

The lumber was as described and was beautiful. I loved the quality.

Got a small albeit very good piece of lumber; just what I was expecting. It worked perfectly for my balancing wine bottle holder. Great grain and little to no imperfections, no cupping or twisting either. Wood do it again. Excuse my puns.

I have placed many orders over the past 10 years, thus I was quite shocked when I received the 6/4 walnut on this order. The majority of what was sent were shorts (4' or less in length) and a number of the pieces hade significant, unusable knots. All-in-all, the lumber did not meet the "select or better" criteria that I paid for. Add the pricey shipping...and this company has left a bad taste in my mouth for the first time!

As expected, a nice piece of walnut. No dings or chipped edges.
