Beautiful wood but requires some care
This wood burns very easily, especially when routing. I was doing 1.5" plunges (yes that's deep but I have a OB 2200 router) and it would burn the mortises and almost caught fire once. It was very exciting and it smells wonderful. Also the wood has some tendency to tear out at corners but this can easily be worked around Anyway the finish is amazing and this is worth the extra cost over walnut
Familiarity: I haven't used it

First try
I haven't used the wood yet but was impressed with the selection of pieces received considering I didn't pick them out myself. Very nice looking wood!

Excellent Quality and Service
Shedua is a beautiful wood to work with. The wood I received was beautiful, straight with very few imperfections. Wood did arrive in a heavily damaged box. This an issue with the shipper as Woodworks Source properly packed the wood.

Beautiful Wood
This is the most beautiful wood I have used. I make memorial flag cases for fallen military and first responders at no charge. The beauty of the wood adds so much to the spouses. It is a very hard wood but with the effort when you see the joy from the families. I greatly appreciate the fantastic service I continue to receive from Woodworkers Source.

Good to work with
Good species to work with. Sanding and finishing was similar to maple, IMO. Beautiful grain patterns. Finished project off with Formby's Tung (?) Oil . Pleased.

Beautiful Wood
The wood I received is beautiful. I was skeptical that I would receive wood that was thoughtfully chosen but I did. My project is getting off to a great start with this quality of wood. Thank you for caring and thinking of the woodworker while choosing my boards!

4/4 Shedua Lumber
I wanted a piece 8" x 84" that's what I got, plus the drop (It has a nice "Waterfall Figure" to it) I love the way Shedua has an almost "Iridescent" glow to it in the grain pattern- perfectly straight, Flat and it will make the trim on my project "Pop"- WWS has all of this Ole Woodsmith's business

Great Wood, Great Support
One of two boards I received had a bow (unusual for WWS) so I let them know and they send a replacement no questions asked. The replacement board is beautiful.

Awesome Quality Lumber
Ordered some Shedua and Purplheart for a couple of small projects. I had to wait a little longer on shipping because of the widths I requested but well worth the wait. The wood I received was of excellent quality, almost as if I had hand picked the lumber myself. This was a test run for me since I have never ordered from woodworkersource in the past but I will definitely be ordering again.

Shedua
I ordered and received a craft pack It contained 3 boards all about 10 3/4 wide and a little over 4 foot long. In reading some reviews before I ordered I noticed that others had received fairly narrow boards.I have just started a project with the wood it is a beautiful wood but it is hard.

Beautiful, but short and narrow
First, let me say I have ordered several $1000s in lumber from Woodworkers and 98% of the pieces come in quickly and beautiful. This order of 50 bd ft was no exception. The wood looks great; however there is one "negative" worth mentioning (hence the markdown). According to the description, the boards are 4"-10" wide of various lengths. All but about 8 board feet were less than 4" wide (average 3.75") and the longest piece was 38". This would have been good information to have before I ordered the lumber. Fortunately this will work out well for my end table project as the widest/longest board (other than the table top) will only be 3"x22". Now, three caveats... 1) I did have the boards straight line ripped, so that could have been why almost every board was under 4". 2) Another reviewer did mention that the boards came in short and narrow for him, but the description was supposed to be corrected to reflect that. 3) I did not request specific board sizes because in the $1000s of orders I have placed I have always received boards well over 4" (most in the 6-8" range). Maybe that is my fault for not requesting... All-in-all, I love the wood and it will work for my needs, but be careful when ordering. Anyone have any ideas for finishing Shedua?

minimum size instead of maximum
I think that the size choice for the lumber should be a little closer to what is being offered. I received the Shedua 4/4 lumber in 4" widths only 4 ft long. Although my project can use some of these smaller boards, I usually receive larger boards when I order the 4/4 lumber. I will probably have to set aside these boards until the appropriate project comes along, if ever. The lumber was in good shape and had nice grain with no warps, but I think a 6" width or larger and a 6ft length or larger category should be offered. I know I could have called and specified sizes, but this had never been an issue in the past. At least not with the over 400 board feet i have ordered this year.
Familiarity: I've used it once or twice

It is a pretty piece of lumber, This was the first time I've seen this wood, would have preferred more grain if possible? The thickness was only 3/4" not 4/4". Still a pretty piece of wood!!!

Liked it and hated it :-)
Decided to hand cut some mortise and tenons. This wood is hard! It took some time but the joints came out damn good. Back to the shop to sharpen my chisels again!! LOL Serious though I'd use shedua again
