I've used it once or twice

Knotty, cracked, and full of character - just what I wanted!
Made a 38" round pub-table using 8/4 boards for glue-up then filled in with gems under clear epoxy to fill the large voids and black epoxy for the small ones. Absolutely beautiful, and harder than hickory. Rated only a 4 because one board was nearly unusable.

Great character
Despite the stressed spots in the wood, it gave my table legs the rough look that I was expecting. I used epoxy to fill in the cracks in the wood to strengthened the wood.

Mesquite 8/4 lumber
Very disappointed in this lumber. Contained major cracks and checks which renders the lumber useless for intended purpose (cutting boards).
