Extremely disappointed in the quality of this plywood, especially for what it cost. Each board has extreme blotching causing a reddish coloration. I am using it for drawer bottoms but still, I expected better quality than this. I bought some white oak veneered 1/4" ply that was way better than this stuff.

Doesn't cut easily in the laser, the veneer also splinters and the glue holding the veneer is very weak. Definitely won't buy again. I use the Columbia Forest and it's much higher quality.

I ordered several pieces of hard white maple "milled to size" thinking they'd be usable in the custom dimensions. Unfortunately all the pieces had significant tearout and chipping along the rips and aren't even useable unless I trim them down. This defeats the purpose of custom cut, in my opinion--and now I need to purchase new lumber. Would not recommend custom cut purchases, especially when Woodworkers Source "making it right" meant giving me a nominal store credit that wouldn't even replace 1 piece.

Over half the wood is cupped or bowed.

First, the edges were full of broken up pieces of wood and you couldn't touch them without getting a splinter.\r\n\r\nSecond, there were so many voids in this plywood its basically not plywood. More like random pieces of plies glued together but not in any fasion that is stable or uniform.\r\n\r\nThird, 2 of the 4 boards were bowed when I received them. What am I suppose to do with bowed plywood?\r\n\r\nHonestly I am disappointed. I thought that buying from a local box store was bad as far as plywood products go. But this plywood was actually worse than box store plywood. I don't know where these other 5 star reviews are coming from, did they receive the same.\r\n\r\nI wish I had the same great experience as others buying from woodworkers source but I just havn't.

This product was quite disappointing, especially given the price. Every piece had tear out along the edges and several pieces were dented. Some of the rips were done sloppily so the edges were not flat. I was able to cut it on my miter and table saws using a 80 tooth blade with zero tear out, so I don’t see why that couldn’t have been done by Woodworkers Source.

I think we all buy this wood for the cool pattern, but I didn't get it at all. I was looking forward to getting this piece, but I could barely distinguish it from a Mahogany piece I received at the same time. I'm making small boxes from this type of wood, so the pattern is central to my pieces.

Not quarter sawn. I even a notation that the grain needs to be vertical. The grain in both pieces is 45 degrees. It is useless for the purpose I bought it for which was to make splines to repair broken guitar necks and headstocks. I suppose I can find another use for it, but it can't be used to make a guitar necks. To make a spline, I will have to resaw it at 45 degrees, and that is a waste of wood.

How hard is it to get this right???

Not what I was expecting. Dinged edges and thick layers. Unbelieveable. BOOOO! Won't be back, screw you.

Splits in all of my material, one board is split all the way through, another had a split at the end, another had parts unplained causing non uniform thickness. And can send photos if needed for further compensation

Very disappointed in this lumber. Contained major cracks and checks which renders the lumber useless for intended purpose (cutting boards).

all 3 pieces were terribly bowed...was sold on the flatness of baltic birch to make sleds and jigs, but this sh*t is no way usable for that. Maybe some drawer bottoms or sacrificial uses...

Ordered 2 - 8/4 pieces of hickory. Both split down the middle. One piece the split has rendered half the board unusable for the project. The entire idea of order 8/4 is that you need thicker wood. By the time i plane down, it will be a 4/4. Each piece was $50 each. I would cost me that much to ship them back. Not worth the hassle.

The wood is very light and my pieces were very plain with no interesting characteristics. I turned them round and took them off the lathe. Just plain light colored light weight wood.

The wood was all cracked and not very useable, I'm very disappointed. Will not order again!!!

I bought this to roll all my joints and instead this thing about shredded my hands when I placed the baggie and rolling papers in it. I would definitely not recommend this product!!! Do it the old fashioned way.

So I ordered this quilted maple just 6bf so I could have an idea how the quality would be. I also ordered other wood, The other wood was Fine just as described. The quilted maple was four boards 2 of them were warped badly, one only had figure on a quarter of the board, I emailed the help desk & They were very sorry that this happened & They are going too replace the wood

So far I've ordered two batches for use in a laser cutter. The first batch worked great, easy to cut, and looked good. The second batch had a lot of more patches and even knot voids in the surface. Often one side would be patched while the other had knots with uneven surface coloration. It also cut very inconsistently with the laser often having areas that would not go through. When I used an exacto knife to finish cuts the laser would start it often appeared that there were clumps of glue that the laser would cut through. Over all I've had to both increase the power I'm cutting at and vastly decrease the my cutting speed. I've tested with other pieces of material and everything works fine, so my only conclusion is a bad batch of ply. I will NOT be ordering again.

All three maple boards shipped were warped. Limited what I could do with them. Disappointed.

I ordered the cutting board kit -Walnut, Mahogany & Maple on April 7 and it arrived about a week later incomplete (glue and oil were missing!) and with a piece of wood damaged with a large dent The USPS box did not have any damage and was sealed. I called Woodworkers Source and their personnel requested to send pictures of the damaged board, which I did same day. They assured that the missing components of the kit and the damaged board will be sent in due course. However, after a month of placing the original order, I have not received anything. Very disappointed with their customer service and the lack of seriousness with their commitment.

I ordered 3x9 and got something way smaller

Was pretty excited to see the price on the hickory - but when i got it was a little disappointed. I got 4 total boards and all of them are literally half and half sapwood/heartwood. I didn't specify that i wanted only heartwood, but honestly didn't think i would have to. It's sawn well enough and the boards are fairly clear, just have to figure out what I'll do with boards that are 50/50 heart/sap. Definitely be sure to put in a note if you want only heartwood or else you are rolling the dice with less "desirable" boards.

Ordered 12 bf and when I opened it up it had 5 knots throughout the 2 pieces I was sent. I ordered so I could build a few guitar bodies and will be lucky to get 1&1/2 out of what I was sent. Emailed and called and had to leave a message and no response from customer service.

When I ordered the Leopard wood turning spuares i was hoping for larger spots like the pictures that were on line, the spots are very small not very visible.

I've boughten over 100x of these packs since 2015. There has been a 30%...30% increase on the item and also a 20% on shipping! This is insane guys! Now I'm forced to find a better price some where else. Good product, usually not too warped, but not price isn't justified.

Alot of the walnut in my past order was full of holes and not usable.

As sometimes happens, this 4" x 90" piece of 8/4 maple twisted and bent badly once I'd ripped it into 1" strips to use for the facing of a new built-in bookshelf. I've never had a problem this bad with your products before.

Came as one completely tan board, with maybe 2 or 3 spots that were a SHADE darker. Plain red oak is prettier. Ordered this board over a year ago and is still sitting on my rack unused. Thought I just misjudged the pics on the website but when my local lumberyard got some in stock I knew I wasted my money here. They had deep black streaking throughout all their boards (which apparently this website only sells as "special") To date I've ordered through woodworkerssource 4 or 5 times and this was the only bad experience, but man, what an expensive and lifeless board they sent me.

I was excited to finally see some purple heart in person and to use it to make a bow handle, however when it arrived the block of wood was completely brown. Not even a tinge of color after I sanded it and finished it with tung oil. It was a disappointment.

One piece you sent had a crack right across the center, chuck missing. I needed a full 51 inches so it was useless to me

Material was a little less than 1-7/8" square instead of 2" square. We could not make our finished parts from them because they were too small.

I ordered, and was charged for 6', of this lumber no less than 5" or more than 6" wide. What I received was 4' 7.5" long by 6.5" wide. I paid a premium of 50 cents per foot ($3.00) to be able to choose the length and width of the lumber I wanted. Neither end of the board I received was cut square. I leave you to draw your own conclusions whether this is a rip off or not.

The pic on your web page made it look a lot more purple. The piece I received was not purple at all. I use the wood for making knife handles, they work perfectly. My daughter wants a purple handle on hers, not sure what or where I will find any purple LOL. I really love the Leapord wood and will be ording several more in about 2 weeks. All the other wood I have ordered from you is just wonderful, perfect. Thank you very much.

Now this lumber I was very disappointed.It was VERY ROUGH on both faces and had several splits.In my view no worth the money I paid.I dont have the time to repackage lumber and ship it back so I will just have to plane it down smooth and use what I have.

Received a large piece of basswood that when cut up would be that which I ordered. In other words, instead of the six pieces of wood that was ordered, I received one large piece.

I am not happy with this product. A variance in stock lumber would be acceptable but I expected a more consistent dimension for turning blanks. Unfortunately, the rough sawn sides are on the short dimension so after planing I expect I will get something close to 1-5/8" X 2".
