Both samples I ordered had great grain and will work perfect for a small project I had in mind. Dimensions were spot on!

I've ordered several curly maple samples from this company, and I've been more than satisfied with them all. \n\nCurly maple is one of my favorite woods to work with; it works easily while remaining strong, and takes on smooth, breathtaking finish. These samples have a very nice grain and plenty of chatoyance that really makes them 'pop' once finished. \n\nWhat I like the most is that these products come exactly as advertised; nice quality, square samples with grain patterns that really represent the best qualities of these woods.

Could not have begged for a BETTER sample of curly or fiddle back if you will and I know you will!\nIt sucks that I am cutting it into 1/8" accent spacer pieces for pistol grip caps for a custom target rifle,thus not being able to enjoy the figure the wood has to offer.\nOn the other a handful of people has seen the wood and mentioned how much they liked it,so if things progress for me we will be doing more business!
