Reviews for Basswood 8/4 Lumber

Delivered as described and as promised. A quality piece of wood. In future however I would opt for a slightly harder species with more pronounced grain. Easy to work with though.

Generally very good selection of boards by your staff. Internal stress is hard to spot without opening up the board. A couple of these boards bowed when I ripped them to 1-inch pieces (I build gallery picture frames with the basswood) but luckily I was able to use the badly bowed pieces for shorter segments, thus minimizing the bow. So aside from some difficulty milling the profiles, it all worked out okay. A little spalting too but not a problem.
