The samples showed up fast and served their purpose for my stain tests. Just FYI, these are hard ash and not swamp ash.

The Ash sample was fine. I used it to test dye stain , grain filler and poly finish prior to finishing an Ash guitar body.

I purchased this sample to test grain filling, dying, and finishing with a clear rub on poly before I attempted it on an expensive swamp ash bass guitar body. The sample was perfect for my needs.

I had ordered some ash hardwood samples to test some finish ideas for a guitar that I am refinishing. As it turns out the guitar was not actually ash after all the coats of urethane finally came off, but the samples have still paid off, nice quality and good examples of ash figuring and grain, very similar grain patterns to whatever the guitar is actually made of, so I still got what I needed which was essentially practice.
