I've read that the purple tones will fade over time, but for now the mixture of purples fading into brown and whites in these pieces is beautiful and I think that it will hold that beauty as it ages. I love the knottiness and flowing grain in the pieces that were picked for me.\r\n\r\nI ended up finishing the wood because I liked the look so much, but it was a hard decision between that and the pleasant woody aroma.

Received three boards with some good rift and quarter grain for cutting parts. Quality was good except one board had a check in the middle of it that ran over half the board length. Luckily I could work around it with part sizes needed, but if I needed more 4" or wider parts I would have been in trouble

Recieved 51 board foot only one board was cracked a bit much but with a little math and creativity that board was as nice as the rest

Very good cedar

I requested not too much white in my Cedar and I should have said no knots ! It was loaded with them but the projects for my pastor I try to avoid the knots.

Perfect product

Normally everything that I receive is wonderful, however with the Cedar, the boards ended up being two separate boards to equal the width that I needed and I wasn't prepared for that. Secondly the boards were both severely cracked when I received them. I do not know if this was due to shipping or if it was sent that way, but Cedar is a soft wood and so you should probably order more footage then you really need just in case the edges are cracked.

Very please with my order. It was used to retrofit an old Kincade robe cabinet with shelves so my wife could store her \nscraps of material at our cabin. She was very pleased with \nthe outcome. \nThe wood was very good quality and easy to work with.

The only problem is that I should have bought more. I am almost out.

When I opened the packages, I was exceptionally pleased with the quality of the wood. I could not be more satisfied with the boards that were picked for me. I could not have done better. The figuring on the wood will make a beautiful blanket chest.

Lots of surface defects, may be normal for this type of wood. I've never worked with aromatic cedar before. Will need to fill big surface gouges with epoxy or dutchmen. Packaged well and arrived promptly.

The piece of aromatic cedar that I received was top quality - my wood supplier in CT could not have done as well! The thickness and size was dead on, the grain was beautiful and had the specific coloring that I requested. I will be back!

The smell is right on and strong. There are many color patterns to choose from; including my favorite, the deep purple tint. Most boards are straight and easily accessed.

When I received my order of red aromatic cedar I was blown away. The board were gorgeous. Iv'e worked with cedar for many years and this is top of the line. Packing was done with great care. Order arrived in perfect condition. Thank you!!
