I ordered a sample to see if it would work to replace a small piece that had fallen off of a 60 year old dresser. The sample did not have the exact grain I was looking for, but the sample was high quality and the delivery and service from Woodworkers Source was excellent and exactly as advertised. This sample is very nicely outlined, as good black walnut should be. Black walnut is my favorite wood, and this is a very good sample.

I make custom pistil grips and this wood is perfect. Unique grain with some great personality!
