Great wood, very happy with it.

Great pieces. Good value.

Arrived in perfect condition as described. This will become small projects after resaving. Grain matches my plans for jewelry boxes and bases, ends and tops for my contrasting assemblies.

The lumber they picked was excellent! I haven't started the project, but I did plane, joint and rout small (6" x 6") samples. I use good quality blades and had no burns at all. I tested 4 different finishes . Poly, Tung oil, Danish oil and Linseed oil, and all worked very well.

I first saw this wood as vaneer and I like the grain patterns. I'm just beginning in woodworking and I'm looking for what I'm going to make with this.

I probably could not have picked the wood better if I had picked it myself.

Received the wood in good shape. Larger board sizes/lengths than I was expecting. From other companies it has been shorter length so this was a welcome surprise. I haven't built with it yet.

This is my third purchase of ribbon-stripe Sapele, and the third excellent shipment. All of the boards show vivid ribbon striping; all are flat and straight. The shipment was well packed and arrived in good condition; no damage and that's a heavy package!

Good shape

I'm restoring missing pieces of 100-year old window and door trim in our house after a complete update. After striking out at the local lumber yards, where I would be forced into buying much, much more wood than I need (when I could find Sapele...), I was able to find exactly what I needed at www.woodworkerssource.com, at a much better price, to boot. The Sapele boards I received in the 4/4 Project Pack were all workable, with barely any drop, and are finishing out nicely. I was a bit apprehensive about ordering lumber sight-unseen, so this was a trial order - I will definitely be ordering more!

The lumber arrived well packaged as always. All boards were straight and true. This is the first time I've ordered Sapele. All the boards were 6" in width, and had those beautiful Sapele ribbons running throughout their length! I'll be making a jewelry box with it soon. Sapele I received was outstanding. Color was perfectly matched thru all 10 boards, no shorts, all were 48". Packaging looked like it had been rough handled, but no damage to any of the stock. Great service, great product. Will be ordering more.

I was surprised to find that my order only had four boards - all of them 12" wide. The wood was straight and clear. It sat on my bench for about a month and did not warp at all in my unconditioned garage. Sapele was a joy to work with, absolutely no complaints and the finish looks great. I honestly don't want to ever pick up another piece of poplar again.

The sepele was delivered very fast and was wrapped very good the boards I recieved were some of the best compared to other sites beautiful ribbons throughout and very little if any warping the wood looks amazing with an oil finish and the board foot packs are great deals I will be purchasing my wood from woodworkers source a lot more.

I ordered a total of 30 BF. 1-20BF Bundle and 1-10BF Bundle. Both came wrapped neatly and protected the wood. Delivery was right on time. The quality of the wood was terrific. I had one board with a small crack from the end running about 6 inches. I was able to work around this with minimal waste of wood. I am happy with the process, and in fact need to order some more to finish my project. Calculation error on my part. I have recommended this website to several of my friends.

As others, I was a bit hesitant to order online. But after reading the reviews, I can honestly say the Woodworkers Source delivered what they say. The boards selected were very nice. I had one board that had a crack in one end, and ran for about six inches. I figured it was due to adjusting from AZ to CO, and was not an issue, I just ripped the board down the middle where the crack was and made two usable boards. I am very happy with my purchase. I am making an entertainment/TV Stand, and this is my first big scale project, as it turns out I am going to be short about 10 BF for the top of my project, and am ordering more. I also love the finishing videos you can watch here to show what you can turn your project into a piece of artwork. Thanks Woodworkers Source, I am a customer for life, please don't ever diminish your customer service or the way you do business.

The only thing was two boards had a split down the middle, so I will have to use it for a small projects. Other than that the wood is great.

never having used Sapele before I really didn't know what to expect. From the pictures on the site, I expected the ribbing to be closer together. I used to build large high end custom cabinetry and millwork. After 2 back surguries I am forced to take on smaller projects. I still don't knoe if this will suit my needs, but the quality of the wood is excellent. I look forward to desinging and building with it.

The wood is absolutely beautiful, and every board is flat, with no twist, warp, or cupping and knot-free, so all the wood is usable with no waste. I'm very much looking fwd to finding the perfect project for it.

I was nervous about buying wood online but you've made up for that with my order. The stripe figure looks wonderful and my boards couldn't be any prettier. They're flat and straight without a single blemish. Don't know what I'll build, but I'm definitely glad I picked this up while the sale was going on.

I recently ordered 3 project packs of Sapele for some speaker cabinets I am building. This was my first time ordering wood online. Overall I am very pleased with my purchase. The wood is as described. I received a total of 15 boards ranging from 5 1/2 to 11 inches wide, with a uniform length of 86 inches. My project calls for 42 inch panels, so I should have very little waste. The boards are very uniform in color, with only one being a shade lighter. Boards were very flat and well machined with only 2 of the 15 having a very slight bow. As a plus I measured my order and actually received 65 board feet as opposed to the 60 I ordered. Thank you Jason for your help.

Not only was the wood beautiful but the service, quality and promptness (I ordered on Friday and got it Wednesday) of delivery was excellent. BEAUTIFUL WOOD, EASY TO WORK THOUGH THE EDGES SPLINTER IF CARE IS NOT TAKEN. AFTER SANDING, THE WOOD HAS A LUSTRE TO IT. TAKES A BEAUTIFUL FINISH. I USED GENERAL FINISHES OIL AND URETHANE (SATIN) WHICH I WIPED ON AND WHICH ACCENTUATED THE GRAIN PATTERN. WHEN FINISHED LOOKS VERY SIMILAR TO MERBAU.
