I loved the poplar I received. Beautiful wood that worked perfectly for my project. No imperfections and the sizing was great to fit the parameters I set. I love having the option to give the overall dimensions and have the piece(s) selected be just a little over my needs. That allowed me to have the flexibility I needed to make cuts and adjustments.

For use with cane handle
I like to use poplar because I cut threads. ( female on the inside of the handle and male on the shaft-1") when making canes. I can find shafts (dowels) locally, but was having problems with finding the wood I used in the handle.\n\nWhile I haven't used any of the wood in this shipment, upon inspection it appears that it was going to work just fine.

I have always been pleased with products from Woodworkers Source.\nThere was an error on this one but I didn't have time to replace the order so I went ahead with the project. I ordered a yield of 15 strips 1.5" wide and 72" Long. Of the the three pieces 2 were of ample length to make the 72" and one came at 71.75" requiring me to modify the plan for the project.
