Mesquite by it's nature is a tricky wood. I was expecting knots and checks and was pleasantly surprised at how few there were and how straight the boards were. Thanks for the selection guys, so much better than I was anticipating.

The mesquite I ordered was better than I expected. Mesquite has a lot of wormholes and a lot of cracks. Some of the pieces I ordered were absolutely clear, and, yes, some had wormholes and cracks. I believe this lumber will make a fine coffee table. Thank you.

Great 4/4 Mesquite
Very happy with the boards I received. all 3 were quite wide (~8") and two of them had almost no inclusions, while the 3rd one did but they look really cool. It's one of the reasons we buy mesquite! I was thinking of buying some 8/4 but I'm wondering about the widths and lengths I would get?

Mesquite wood has defects. Celebrate them. The wood is beautiful. I have heard the wood is really hard an difficult to work with. I have not found that to be true. It is dense. But, planes and sands very nicely.

Used to make a lot of furniture out of mesquite. I'd fill the cracks with black epoxy. Looks really cool. But I got burned out on it after a few years because it is a lot of work. I recently bought 100 board feet again to get back into it and I'm happy. Love the look. there's no other wood like mesquite. love the cracks and knots. Love it with a clear poly
