Awesome figuring - no defects

I think we all buy this wood for the cool pattern, but I didn't get it at all. I was looking forward to getting this piece, but I could barely distinguish it from a Mahogany piece I received at the same time. I'm making small boxes from this type of wood, so the pattern is central to my pieces.

Great figured wood and absolutely straight as requested. It will become the necks and headstocks of cigar box guitars.

Been stockpiling wood for when I retire and have time to actually devote myself. This is about my sixth or so purchase and everyone has been outstanding, much better, and much better value, than the national tool/wood sellers.

The lumber was very pretty, lots of spots. Some of the lumber was warped in 2 directions (S-curve). Some of the lumber had large gouges in them (4"x 6") that required the lumber be cut into shorter lengths.

As my previous Leopardwood review indicated, I purchased another piece of Leopardwood while it was still on sale. When my second piece of Leopardwood arrived, I was honestly expecting a similar grain pattern piece as my first piece I ordered. However, when I opened the package, I was taken aback by how much flaked and speckled grain pattern there was on this particular piece. It was absolutely stunning piece of Leopardwood and wider than I expected. My 'hat' goes off to Kirk and the hardwood lumber pullers for picking out and sending me such a stunning piece of Leopardwood.

Absolutely beautiful piece of speckled Leopardwood. The piece I received appeared to be flat sawn, but had a variety of grain patterns throughout the entire length of the board like speckled grain, flake/ribbon grain, etc. Going to order more Leopardwood while it is still on sale.
