Why Choose Iroko / African Teak?
Iroko offers superb weathering properties and a wonderful earthy burnished-brown color. Consider it the best alternative to high-priced teak. Medium to coarse texture with an interlocking grain that often produces interesting patterns. Open pores could be filled for a smooth finish, or left alone for a natural texture. Expect the wood to work easily with both power and hand tools.
Give your patio, ceiling, or outdoor wall a bold, resort-level upgrade with real African Iroko. Often called African Teak, it delivers warm golden color, natural durability, and a clean hidden-fastener look.
Why You’ll Love It
- Gorgeous Color: Honey-gold tones that glow with exterior oil or marine varnish.
- Outdoor Ready: Naturally resists rot, insects, and weather.
- Real Wood: Sustainably sourced premium hardwood — not plastic or composite.
- Hidden-Fastener Look: Clean, modern installation with no visible screws.
- Low Maintenance: Finish it for color, or let it silver naturally.

How to Install (3 Easy Steps)

1. Find Your Joists or Studs
Choose your starting point and mark the ceiling joists or wall studs with a chalk line. Install hidden starter clips (not included) on the chalk line, one on each joist or stud.
2. Fasten Boards with Hidden Deck Clips
Use standard hidden deck fasteners (not included) to lock each board in place. They create strong, consistent spacing and an invisible, floating-wood look. Cut boards to length as needed.
3. Apply Finish
Apply exterior oil or marine varnish to preserve the golden color, or leave it unfinished to age naturally.
