Reviews for Canarywood 8/4 Lumber

The wood is beautiful with a good deal of character. I am thinking of multiple ways to use the Canarywood.

Prompt delivery and good packaging. The piece looks and behaves very much like the catalog description so no surprises. A nice piece of wood, well-selected and cut.

The lumber was delivered exactly as specified and earlier than expected, despite being the dimensions being a the long side (104" in length). Perfect--thanks!

I ordered this in 8/4 to use for a table. I received several 8"-9" boards to resaw and bookmatch for the top. The results, though beautiful, were quite wavy. Since I use hand planes and scrapers it was quite a challenge. Breadboard ends for the top (size 34" x 48") helped some but it is not perfectly flat. I planed one of the extension leaves flat but the next day it was "tweaked" again. Currently I'm in the finishing process and the wood is beautiful, some tear out in places and I did resort to using a sander to flatten as best as I could. I'll post some pictures when it's completed in a week or two. Now it's on to the chairs!
