a very heavy wood that has beautiful dark stripes among the golden colors ..easy to work with ..polishes well ..you must seal with a wood sealer to finish otherwise the natural oils in this wood will not let your oil finish dry ..once I figured that out it has become one of my favorites ..

First Hardwood Project
I bought one of these turning squares for my first hardwood project, a pair of pop tops. This wood was a delight to work with and the grain is absolutely gorgeous. The piece I received was milled perfectly with no knots or cracks and was easy to resaw. Will definitely be buying again!

This is the best Bocote I've managed to find so far. I use these squares for inlay work, and with them being perfectly milled makes the resaw much easier.
