Received the package and opened it right away. No damage to the basswood. It was packaged tight and secure.

Excellent
I bought some of this basswood as a beginner to turning in an attempt to create a full chess set. The wood was delivered a few days earlier than expected and the quality of the stock was unmatched. Even when carving the knights the wood grain proved true and the final result is great. Excellent experience overall and I'll definitely order from here again.

great purchase , arrived in great condition
I am using this wood to compliment a basswood chair that is almost 100 years old. The wood and grain are almost identical.

nice open straight grain with no knots. Great for carving or turning.

Making ball in cage.
Received 6 pieces of wood. Exactly like I wanted and expected. Great pieces of wood. The only problem was that when the wood was packaged, the staples made gashes in two of the pieces. It works out that I am able to cut out the blocks of wood I want and discard the gashes.

Great for carving
This is my first experience carving basswood and I really like it. It carves easily, holds a detail and is very light.

Excellent Squares
Squares arrived very straight and blemish free. Dull tools will make a mess of these squares, use sharp tools. Only a beginner, but wanted some softer wood to work with and was able to create some sword handles with no problems.(would not recommend basswood for functional sword handles, but looks great for display purposes).
