Good turning squares for ash
The ash turning squares were very good and consistent but did have some small dings along some of the edges. It's a little bit softer wood than I usually use. The grain and color were beautiful.

Perfect dimension & grain
The plan is to create chess pieces from these. They are perfectly square, have adjusted to the desert climate I live in with no warp or twisting, and have a beautiful straight grain pattern.

Good except for 1 piece
4/5 of my squares were in fantastic condition and are perfect for the project \nthen the last one was a good 1/4 or more shorter, a huge dent, and had the end grain paint and was splitting up so that piece was unusable for the projects I need it for.

I bought 8x ash turning squares for legs to build custom speaker stands for my ash wood stereo speakers. 1 can of gloss black paint later, and now they match the speakers perfectly!\nThe wood arrived in good time and in good condition. Just some light finish sanding and ready to assemble / paint!\nSo I just bought 8 more to finish the surround sound (back) speaker stands!\nVery satisfied!

So far so good. Haven't yet started project. Wood came without splits or checks so happy with that. What I like best is the free shipping on some deals. Sure helps on a fixed income.
