If you’ve never worked with Granadillo, pick up some on sale. I made an armoire with plywood and did the facing of the drawers in Granadillo. It’s amazing!

As has always been my experience with this gang, the order came correctly as requested and there was even a surprising break on shipping on a rather heavy bundle. Lovely and extremely hard, but easily worked with hand tools. I received 4 very attractive boards. 3 of the 4 were I believe from the same tree. The other was an adequate color match. Order arrived on time, undamaged and well packaged.

I haven't opened the packages yet but all other orders I've recieved have been of very good quality I ordered this material before under a different name and it's one of my favorite woods.

I got 2 different trees of Granadillo in my order. Four are 7 and-a-half inches wide, two 4 and-a-half inches wide. All of them are about 72 inches in length.\n\n Three pieces were of a lighter color with some pretty figure. One of the lightly colored boards kind of reminded me of teak. The other two light ones looked like they were ripped in half from one really wide board, so gluing them up will look perfect.\n\nThe other three were dark rich brown/red with a purple hue, and beautiful dark streaks. All of these had different grain patterns. \n\n Absolutely gorgeous stuff. I'm buying more of this for sure... Without my wife's knowledge hehehehe.

I received an assortment of lumber today, and the granadillo stole the show. Simply gorgeous. One board, maybe 10" wide, 5 BF total.\n\nThe grain is so attractive, even without a finish, or wetting the wood. Much like the pictures here, only BETTER.

I love this wood. This stuff is great for accents and a dynamic look. It finishes to a really high gloss and machines nicely.

I really love this wood. It is hard to cut though.

Boards were long straight and not cupped.

As usual, my shipment arrived beautifully packaged and the wood is magnificent. Very nice grain pattern that will make any project jump at at you. I plan to use it for a picture frame. I chose this wood for its color which matched a color within the water color I plan to frame. I plan to match it with some creamy Primavera I have on hand.
