Exotic Wood Desktop Organization Box

We posted a quick video about how to finish a project like this with a nice clear satin topcoat.

Chechem is a wood from the Yucatan Peninsula that is sometimes called "Caribbean Rosewood," and it's not exactly hard to see why. It's got a labyrinthe of grain and color that's somewhere between brown and red. Really neat stuff. The choice of bamboo for the lid and splines obviously brings a nice contrast that's a little different from something tried-and-true like maple.

Finish: General Finishes Arm-R-Seal satin
