24” x 18” Arizona plaque

This Arizona plaque was made with a single 10” wide Sapele board. After careful consideration of where to cross cut based on grain direction and design, I joined the two pieces with biscuits. After that I designed and routed out the saguaro and Four Peaks, then filled with epoxy. I chiseled out the star for Phoenix. The grain really comes together so well that it looks like a entirely single board.
