Serving Tray

John Mahoney was a skilled woodworker, known for his attention to detail and love of simple, functional design. One day, he decided to make a serving tray for his sister, Emma, who had recently moved into a new house. He spent hours carefully crafting the tray from a piece of walnut, smoothing the edges and adding sturdy handles that were both practical and elegant.

When the tray was finished, it looked perfect—sleek and sturdy, with a rich, warm tone that highlighted the natural beauty of the wood. He sent it to Emma as a surprise gift.

A few days later, Emma called him, her voice full of excitement. "John, the tray is beautiful! I’ve already used it for breakfast in bed, and it makes everything feel so much more special."

John smiled, happy to know that his work was appreciated. The tray had become more than just a practical item; it had become a small piece of his love and care, something that would be used often in Emma’s home. Every time she carried it with a cup of tea or snacks, it reminded her of the thoughtfulness of her brother, and of the simple joys in life that could be found in the smallest moments.
