End Table for antique suitcase

A friend wanted an end table which would display her antique suitcase.

I placed the legs more inside of the sides, so that when she slid the suitcase in, it would have about 1/2" of breathing room around all sides but appear to fit snug when seen from the front.

Made with Cherry lumber using the suitcase for dimensional measurements. The cherry lumber that I had was not evenly colored, so I used the Charles Neil anti blotching product, then a gel stain, with lacquer top coats.
