Hand Carved Bowl
Robert Rice had always loved the art of carving. One afternoon, as he sat in his workshop, he thought about creating something that was both functional and beautiful—a hand-carved bowl, but with a twist. What if he could carve one large bowl with two smaller bowls that fit perfectly inside?
He picked out a piece of rich cherry wood and started carving. Slowly, he shaped the large bowl, then carefully carved two smaller ones that nestled snugly inside. He polished the wood until it gleamed and added intricate designs along the edges for a touch of elegance.
When it was finished, Robert was thrilled. The larger bowl could hold snacks or fruit, while the smaller bowls were perfect for dips, nuts, or sauces. It was practical, yes, but it was also a piece of art.
At the next family gathering, Robert placed the bowl on the table. “Check this out,” he said, as everyone gathered around.
They were impressed. “This is beautiful!” his sister said, lifting one of the smaller bowls. “And it’s so clever, too.”
The hand-carved bowl became a conversation starter, and from then on, it was used at every family gathering—whether for chips and salsa, fruit, or even just as a centerpiece. It wasn’t just a piece of kitchenware; it was a symbol of Robert’s craftsmanship and creativity.
