Redwood 'remote schooling' bench
I made this stool from reclaimed Redwood obtained from Longleaf Lumber - it was claimed to be the bench backs from a 100 year old Vermont ball diamond. I built a desk for my kids remote schooling (pictures soon) and this bench from the same boards. One picture is an example of the boards - notice the nail holes. Handtool built with the exception of using a table saw to rip boards into thinner stock for the skirts .
The wood is beautiful but I found it soft (easy to dent) and splintered easily while working it.
Finish: MinWax Tung Oil
