Live Edge Mesquite Bench

I started with a slab I picked up from the North Phoenix location. I filled in the knots and voids with turquoise epoxy, as I am a big fan of the southwest copper/turquoise look. I sanded the slab to 80 grit, then sprayed water to raise the grain. I sanded through the grits all the way up to 800; 80, 120, 150, 180, 240, 320, 400, 500, 600, 800. I then applied the Odie's Oil, waited 24 hours and applied the Odie's Dark Wood Butter, waited 24 hours and applied the final coat of Odie's Wood Wax. I put this out front of my house in April 2019 and through January 2021 the finish is still as good as the day I put it on. I plan on applying a new coat of wax before it starts getting hot again. The legs were custom welded by James from HC Welding, who helped me design and make the custom legs.

Finish: Odie's Oil, Odie's Dark Wood Butter, Odie's Wood Wax
