Walnut Bath Tray

Made from a single 4/4 walnut board that I jointed and glued side-by-each. I used two Forstner bits to make candle holders that will hold both 1.5" tea lights or 2" votive candles. For the phone tray I used a 1/4" radius bowl & tray bit in my router to remove the waste and followed with a lot of sanding. A couple of passes with a 1/4" trim/cutout bit and an edge guide cleared the tablet holding slot.

Watco Danish Oil helped to blend the sapwood color on this board (Thanks for the great tips Mark) and I followed it with some satin lacquer.

Finish: 2 coats Watco Danish Oil (Medium Walnut color) + 3 coats Minwax Aerosol Satin Lacquer
