Toy Box

At 57 y/o I decided to take up woodworking. Last time I did any sort of wood working was in High School shop class.

My 1st project was a Toy Box inspired by Johnny Brooke of Crafted Workshop.

My brother-in-law asked for a Toy box for his girlfriends grandkids....I surprised them with one as a Christmas present. Boy! were they shocked!!!

The box is made from 3/4 Red Oak using Rabbit Joints. Stained in Pecan. The legs and stretchers are made of 7/4 Walnut using standard 3/8" dowels and Dark Titebond asjoinery. Dark Walnut Stain.

I don't actually have plans for this project. I just kind of improvised from Johnny Brooke's plans.

He gets the credit!!!

Finish: Pecan Stain & Dark Walnut Oil
