Walnut Jewelry Box

Since I drew my new sister-in-law's name for the annual Christmas gift exchange, I used that as a nice opportunity to give her something special that said "Welcome to the family." This is a fairly straightforward box when you break it down to the usual parts: Sides, front, back, top, bottom. A bit of sculpting and shaping here and there to give it a little shape. We happened to have some fascinating rift sawn walnut with some curly figure, and then I ebonized a couple of pieces to give the sides that black appearance.
