Waste of great wood

Learned an important lesson, beautiful Leopard wood, I used for end grain cutting board and then applied bees wax / Mineral oil finish.most of pattern was lost due to end grain style of board, then the wax colored the wood so deeply that we lost a lot of graining on the ends. Great wood, but learned very important lesson about make sure use the right wood for the right project. -- Orginally posted by jsjohnson4206
