small box

Small box project dimentions are 8 x 8.5 and approximately 5 tall. The woods are walnut and curly maple. The feet were designed and cut out on a cnc machine. The embelishment of the dragonfly on the lid was done with the cnc and vcarve. The dragonfly was then airbrushed to provide some color and separation from the lid itself. I tried a new finish of linseed oil and beeswax ( the brand is Tried and True which is an enviormentally friendly food safe finish). The finish has a rubbed out look. I cannot decide if I like the feet/legs, but it was something differnt to try. Fun project and kept me out of trouble for a few days. -- Orginally posted by Dgreen449
