Though it's name sounds ancient the Bowed Psaltery was invented in 1945 Germany by a violin teacher to give his students bow handling help... Tone woods = top Aligator Juniper; back (not shown)black Walnut; Frame (pin blocks) Hard Maple. Finished with clear blonde shellac (3 coats). -- Orginally posted by sweetnotedulcimer
