Herringbone Pattern - Mesquite & Maple

1 1/2x3x1/8 in. on 1/2 in. MDF Substrate.

This is my 1st attempt at Herringbone. Lesson learned, some pieces should be cut long. A very small error will grow over time. So, you may need some longer pieces to avoid gaps. I had a few gaps that I filled with sawdust and glue. Cut more pieces than you think. Some pieces may not be usable. Backside has 1/8 in. thick strips of poplar to "balance" out the glue on the front side. Otherwise, the piece would have bowed.
