Jewelry Box
David made the jewelry box on a rainy afternoon, the kind that invited quiet work and steady hands. He chose maple for the body—light, clean, dependable—and added a walnut inlay along the lid, a dark ribbon of contrast that gave it a quiet elegance.
Inside, he lined it with deep blue velvet, soft as a memory, and divided it into thoughtful compartments—one for rings, one for chains, one just because. The lid closed with a gentle click, thanks to tiny brass hinges he polished until they caught the light just right.
It wasn’t made for a store or a show. It was for his daughter, soon to leave for college. When he handed it to her, she opened it slowly and smiled. “It smells like your shop,” she said.
David nodded. “That’s how you know it’s real.”
Would you like this styled for a brand story or marketing piece?
