Steampunk Cutting Board
In the grand halls of the Annual Kitchen Contraption Contest, polished blenders whirred nervously and smart toasters toasted their best. But it was the underdog—a steampunk cutting board named Sir Slice-a-Lot—that stole the show.
Carved from aged walnut, inlaid with brass gears, and equipped with a hidden drawer that presented cheese knives with a chhh-click, it wasn’t just stylish—it was spectacular. When its drawer slid open with a puff of steam and perfectly paired a wedge of brie with a smirk of gouda, the judges dropped their forks in awe.
"Form, function, and fromage!" the head judge cried.
Sir Slice-a-Lot bowed modestly (via a subtle gear-powered tilt) and rolled away with the golden whisk—1st place, and the hearts of kitchens everywhere.
