Cheese Board with Slicer
Dale Kelnhofer loved two things: cheese and clever gadgets. So, one chilly afternoon in his workshop, as he struggled to slice a block of cheddar without it slipping off the board, he had a brilliant idea—why not build the slicer right into the cheese board?
He picked out a smooth slab of walnut wood and got to work. With careful hands, Dale carved the board, then added a sleek wire slicer attached to one side. It glided like butter across any block of cheese. He even included a little groove to catch crumbs—because details matter!
When he was done, he tested it on a slice of Gouda. Perfect. No slips, no mess—just smooth slices every time.
He brought the board to a neighborhood potluck, setting it on the snack table with pride. Guests gathered around, wide-eyed as Dale demonstrated the built-in slicer.
“This thing’s genius!” someone said, slicing a perfect piece of brie.
“Cheese board 2.0,” another laughed.
The board became the star of the evening—cheese after cheese disappearing with smooth, satisfying slices. Dale just smiled, nibbling on a cube of Havarti, happy that his handy little invention turned snack time into showtime. 🧀✨
