Twisted Fruit Bowl

Kim Humphrey was known for her creative take on everyday objects. One of her favorite creations was a twisted fruit bowl, crafted from intertwining strips of metal that spiraled upward, forming an elegant, twisting shape. The design was simple but striking—like a delicate vine growing out of the earth, twisting and reaching for the light.

One afternoon, her friend Clara visited, admiring Kim’s work. "This is beautiful," Clara said, running her fingers over the smooth curves of the metal. "What’s it for?"

Kim smiled. "It’s a fruit bowl, but more than that, it’s about balance and movement. I wanted to capture something alive in it."

Clara took the bowl home, filling it with ripe apples, oranges, and bananas. The fruit, arranged inside the twisted design, seemed to float—held in place by the bowl’s unique structure. The twists and turns of the metal made everything feel fresh, alive, and a little magical.

Every time Clara placed fruit in the bowl, it reminded her of the beauty of simplicity and the way art could transform even the most ordinary of things. Kim’s twisted fruit bowl had found a home, not just as a functional piece, but as something that brought a little joy and wonder into her everyday life.
