Wooden Table Runner
When I was making my first wooden table runner, my wife thought I was crazy (see elsewhere in the project listing). But the first one really grew on her and I wanted to see if I could improve upon the design. This one is an outgrowth of my woven wood charcuteries boards. The challenge is that it is difficult to do the woven wood in lengths longer than about 20" due to the need to cut very long thin strips. So, this was a standard charcuterie board sliced into 4 layers (mirror matched) and laminated to 1/2" mdf substrate and then wrapped with a solid walnut frame.
