Memories of the Farm

This project was designed as a gift for my daughter who had just sold her farm. The box and the mallet were reminders of all the hard work that went into maintaining the mid century ranch, horses, dogs and acreage.

The box was my first try with Miller Dowels. I left them proud as a design element. The copper in the top handle is a 1/4" by 3/4" piece of solid copper, polished and also finished with Odies Oil.

This was my first shot at a mallet, so I've included a picture of the interior to permit seeing the internal structure.
