Stake bed truck rails

These are steam bent bed rails polished stake bed for a 1952 vintage stake bed truck. The steam bending took several hours of steaming due to the nature of the wood. Although we were successful in bending the rails, I would not recommend this particular wood since it strongly resists bending. Once was enough. :) The bed has 18 coats of varnish and was polished out to a high gloss.

Finish: Exterior Varnish over epoxy with fine polishing to finish
