Campfire

I glued up 30 pieces of 1.75" x 1.75" x 18" Padauk and Red Oak vertically alternating the two woods so that from above it looks like a chess board. I used two types of chisels--a gouge and a parting tool with a wood mallet. Used a palm sander, a 1/2" belt sander, and hand sanding.
