Sipo Nightstands

The nightstands without the tops received three coats of ruby shellac. The tops were grain filled (Old Masters, oil base), then made bulletproof with five coats of Waterlox.

I prefer full extension glides, even on some traditional pieces. To make things easier, and to cover the glides, the beech drawer bodies have through-dovetails both front and back, and the mahogany drawer fronts are glued on.
