Reviews for Roasted Red Oak Hardwood Sample (1/2"x3"x6")

I had never heard of roasted wood before. At least not in this application. I have found the sample to be exactly as described with the only disappointment that I cannot find anything more than the sample sized pieces (in the red oak) currently in stock. One thing I have noticed is that the sample seems to be slightly more brittle along the sharper corners and edges than normal red oak. I don't expect this would present a problem. I will order a larger piece to work to see if this holds true of thicker material as soon as it is available.
