I’ve used this to make gorgeous picture frames, an application of OSMO oil makes it look great. However, grain crumbles if you attempt dovetails which is probably due to the brittleness caused during the roasting process.

first time trying this item, overall pleased, a lot of saw marks and waste to get to he good stuff

Bought roasted red oak, roasted walnut and hard maple. Beautiful wood, came extremely well wrapped. Several minor defects such as a knot that completely fell out leaving a whole, a crack, and several holes appearing as distressed wood. Overall, should be enough for my multiple cutting board project.
