Very nice. Straight grain. Would have liked a bit more character, but I know that's a tall order

Product was wonderful. I would have been really happy if two sides were jointed but one worked OK. Also the thickness of the purple heart and the hard maple were not equal.

It really was a fine product. Delivered as promised and lived up to expectations. I only had one small problem when milling it. All milled surfaces turned brown rather than a rich purple. I called and was told that placing it out in the sun would bring out the purple (the UV rays and all). I tried, but it being winter in the midwest, we don't get a lot of sun, hence a limited amount of UV, unlike Tempe AZ. Looks like I'll need to wait until next summer to try the sunbake route. Other than that, the wood was great
