And I'd do it again. Holy moly, this stuff looks regal. Way harder than hickory, I can't even dent it, and heavy too. Might be my absolute favorite.

We received the 2 8/4 pieces quickly. They were beautifully matched and have been glued together to make a flat top Jimmy Page inspired Les Paul guitar! I'd post a photo but I'm not sure how to do so!

Was impossible to get 8/4 purple heart from my local supplier. Ordering from woodworkerssource was a breeze...I think it arrived in about 3 days....wrapped in cardboard and very well protected.... Used for end grain cutting boards....customer was very satisfied and so was I.... Will definitely be ordering again soon.

Extremely high quality - Grain, cut, color, size, delivery.

Product was wonderful. I would have been really happy if two sides were jointed but one worked OK. Also the thickness of the purple heart and the hard maple were not equal.

Not only is the wood itself incredible, but I was impressed with the quality of it as sold. I ordered a single side cut to true it up for my uses, and I almost couldn't tell which side was cut the board was in such nice shape. Beautiful wood and great inventory.

It really was a fine product. Delivered as promised and lived up to expectations. I only had one small problem when milling it. All milled surfaces turned brown rather than a rich purple. I called and was told that placing it out in the sun would bring out the purple (the UV rays and all). I tried, but it being winter in the midwest, we don't get a lot of sun, hence a limited amount of UV, unlike Tempe AZ. Looks like I'll need to wait until next summer to try the sunbake route. Other than that, the wood was great
