These pieces are being used to reinforce the chair legs of a 40-year-old dining room set that originated in San Salvador, Central America. Perfect in every way!
Everything was great. I didn't use it for turning--I'm into carving, and it suited my needs perfectly. To everyone out there--You don't need to have a lathe to have fun with this stuff. I rubber her down with some tongue oil to finish and she's a beaut!! No cracks, no knots, and no complaints. You will be hearing from me soon. If you're curious I used the wood for a cheek rest on my gun stock--sweet!
